Tollway Survey and Data Input

Regina Webster & Associates was retained by Wilbur Smith Associates provide survey distribution and data input services for an Origin-Destination Study of the northern segment of the Illinois Tri-State Tollway. The purpose of the survey was to determine point-of-origin traffic volumes for areas that would be affected by proposed Tollway construction zones in northern Illinois. RWA staff distributed 30,000 survey forms throughout one 12-hour day. More than 12,500 surveys were returned, including surveys mailed out to I-Pass users who did not receive the original forms. RWA staff input the raw data into Microsoft Access spreadsheets and performed extensive data cleanup for geo-coding by zip code and intersection of origin.
